Inu – Stephen Colbert – Music Video Premiere
-
Engaging in any form of politics can be a daunting task. Now try creating a music video about Stephen Colbert as profound as the man himself that clocks in at over 4 minutes and you have something to talk about. With its “giant balls” and “truthinizing” there is something very special here…. and far easier to digest than a John Edwards sex tape. Musically, “Stephen Colbert” finds Inu nodding towards the pop sensibilities of Death Cab For Cutie and is as easy to get into, and perhaps just as tempting as a gay bathroom sex scandal is for a politician.
Inu, who are lead by producer/ remixer/ vocalist, Count (DJ Shadow, New Order, Galactic, Radiohead) will release their debut album in June 29th and are kicking it off with “Stephen Colbert”.
Directed and animated: Dan Mchale
co-Directed: Count
Compositing/editing: Casey Kohlhoff
Additional animation: Ricardo Barahona, Sean Dicken, Vaughn Ross, Tom Rubalcalva

I’m on the fence about this. It kind of feels like an attempt to land a spot on “The Colbert Report” like that guy who named the spider after SC. Oh well, it is still pretty cool, Colbert is the man!

I was just wondering about the dilemma the producers faced when shooting this video. Stephen Colbert is larger then life.
