Picture 213 Five OClock Heroes Rough Boys Music Video

We try to be on top of things, that’s why we did an interview with the guys in Five O’Clock Heroes about their new album, the interview went up a few weeks ago and features some delightful banter with the Heroes. Speaking of on top of things, check out their new video below…. it’s…. sensual.

“Rough Boys” was directed by Todd Smolar and edited by Crandall Miller for New York City’s Five O’Clock Heroes. The video stars the actor Chaske Spencer of Twilight fame, a former roommate of bassist Adam Morse, and long time friend of the band. As The Five O’Clock Heroes debut their video, they are eagerly anticipating the Febraury 15th release of their album Different Times.

Gimme Money Monday: Her Electric Fur

Luckily the boy/girl indie/blues duo Her Electric Fur does an excellent job of explaining themselves in their Kickstarter video, which sure does take a load off of us, thanks guys! While they may have met by chance, thanks to Katie’s search for a guitarist, Jon and Katie were inseparable from the start, learning to play an entire song together in just one day. It’s only been just over a year since the two became one, calling Echo Park, Los Angeles [...]

Tijuana Panthers @ The Roxy [LA]

    | JUNE 3, 2014 Why are Tijuana Panthers playing at the Roxy? Is John Dwyer’s new drummer still sleeping with my friend? There’s surf rock, how come no bodyboard rock? Isn’t the Sunset Strip reserved for douche-tastic parody? Things must be changing. At 8:30 p.m., Sunset Blvd. looked like the better half of teenage identity crisis. Kids lined up far beyond the horizon, or at least past the Whiskey A Go Go (which is two blocks away from the Roxy). [...]

VIDEO: The Wilde – ‘SFO ✈ SYD’

The first single off The Wilde’s upcoming album is paired with a video for it’s release. Just as Luke DeWilde’s previous tracks invoke motivation and inspiration, “SFO ✈ SYD” is no different, harking more on Luke’s roots and devotion to his trade. Slowing it down to really put the mellow in mellowhop, he speaks of fruit snacks and video games to yes, traveling to Sydney and being inspired by the upside down perspective of the land down under, namedrops Billy [...]

Strange Babes Aren’t Strange And That’s What’s Great

I had a dream I hung out with Paul Kostabi. Wait, this has nothing to do Strange Babes’ A+ performance for the sparse Satellite crowd on Wednesday night. That’s the point. It’s a lot like a particle. According to early 20th century physicists, you can’t properly perceive ANYTHING because your own perception will itself disturb what you’re observing. Bands and press are no different from physicist’s particles. So, if you’re a member of Strange Babes – STOP READING THIS IMMEDIATELY [...]
