    NoBunny Confuses The Senses

NoBunny will mess you up.  You listen to the music beforehand and you hear an absolutely cheery sloppy poppy punk sound that careens thru ear to ear engaging a smile on the forefront of your face.  So you decide to go see them live, with bubble gum masticating joyously from upper molars to lower molars and than your eyes see what NoBunny is wearing.  Your eyes go crossed and your gum rolls from rear teeth to tip of your tongue [...]

DWNTWN and El Ten Eleven, Great Coordinates, Great Sounds

DWNTWN and El Ten Eleven sound like the coordinates for a wonderful Hitchcockian movie. Yet, when they come together they are the sonic equivalent of a crime noir thriller.  Slightly moody sound and lighting, lovely lady, awkward bending chaps.  When these two differentiated bands take the stage the tone is set from the get go and all thoughts of where they are headed are tossed out the window.  Nothing is preparations for the sounds they produce.  Luckily, some visuals were [...]

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. – Good Name, Great Band, Complete Gentlemen

Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr put on one hell of a show.  Not only that, but they happen to be some of the nicest guys we have had the pleasure of working with.  Talking to them after their set showed them to be just as pleasant as their stage presence would suggest.  And that is saying quite a bit, as on stage they are non stop smiles and excitement that careens over onto the crowd in a contagious manner.  Bringing the [...]

The Pure Insanity of Reptile Youth

There is a particular level of eccentricity that comes hand in hand with a Reptile Youth concert. Their live performances have become somewhat iconic due to the pandemonium created by lead singer Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen’s audacious means of expression. I was first exposed to the wild and primitive discord of Reptile Youth in Berlin, back in 2011 when the band went by the name Reptile and Retard (which was incredibly fitting for my first impression). Their interpretation of electronic-dance is [...]
