Sometimes fame feels like you’re just drinkin’ the kool aid – whether you’re the famous one or the one feeding off of it. Mini Mansions, aka energetic rock trio made up of Zach Dawes, Tyler Parkford, and Michael Shuman, depict quite the cultural anecdote in their new video for “Mirror Mountain.” While it can be repetitive in a way that may not be compelling, the editing ultimately catches up with the frantic nature of the song. It’s a surreal spin on the intoxication of Angelyne (if you don’t know her, look her up), a metaphor for fame and excess, served up psychedelia style.

Directed by Kaylie Schiff (the babe-est of multi-taskers also in Guards and Rumble) and produced by Ryan Jackson-Healy, we can’t help but feel the Tarantino vibes. Watch below.
