"Everything Is New" is as eloquent as a Florentine ballad brought forth from loves desire. Indeed it’s making my love for Antony feel just like the first time. This honeymoon stage leads to the flowering arrangements of “The Great White Open”. Those tender, soft, plucking, textures heard from finely recorded acoustics make hearts pander for more, MORE, while Antony’s vocals quiver like a blind man in unadulterated ecstasy and his whole being wraps around lyrics like he owns them (which he probably put a copyright on, so by all means he does own them).
Thought you might be into listening to his new album all the way through, we were, and still are. Some of you might think this newest set of tracks are a bit over-blown, but I, Bear, feel these are some of his most accomplished and intriguing songs of his already lofty career. It's also good to hear him trying a new direction.
The band is touring on their newly released record, New Inheritors. On the stage the band sounds best when they let the rock out, while on their record they impress with their mellow kick back songs, but whatever floats your boat. Either way they should be on your radar!
Music is all about how it makes you feel. I don't like to feel like a thug, so I don't listen to gangsta rap. I usually go for feeling sexy, that's why the new Stars album is an album you should know. Stars seem must never have head the term filler, the much dreaded word that defines careers of most bands. The album is brilliant the whole way through, the recording is impeccable.
excerpt: Somewhere between the sweet California pop of The Little Ones, and that song you listen to when you are about to get it on, you will find the sounds of Ivan & Alyosha, known in the real world as Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary.
