The Dears ‘Degeneration Street’ Album Review

When it comes to drama, frontman Murray Lightburn delivers it with a heavy hand, and Degeneration Street especially leaves little room for redemption. At nearly an hour in length, the record leans heavily on characteristically gloomy, grandiose instrumentation with an ambitious, yet predictable, formula of epic buildups, haunting fallouts and borderline overwrought emotion.
