Matt Pond PA (wait, I’m confused, is Matt once again going with the PA?) and his ever faithful and devilishly talented sidekick, Chris Hansen, are not to be trifled with. That being said, Pond and team are done with teasing long time fans with the release of their new album The State Of Gold via a very successful Kickstarter campaign (support that sh*t) and the release of their first video “More No More”, which features wild black snow ravens, bursts of sparkler fire, and yes… lyrics (it’s a lyric video).

Matt has always been true to himself, his music, and his fans with lyrics like “I never made anything easy, out on the weekend see me fall. But if the left leg rolls and the right leg rolls, we’ll make our way out of the shadows, I have hung out with doubt, I do not doubt not any more no more no more…”, that connection will only continue to grow as he throws his heart at his listeners, and as always, they soak up every last breath of it.

Let’s keep this next statement on the down low, you see I have a feeling this album could be contender for Album of Year. But let’s wait for further exploration when the album comes out on the newly rehabilited legendary Emo Rock label, Doghouse Records on June 30th.
